Opt-In Sports
The Opt-In Sports facility is a free complimentary service to the sports+ club cover and is available to club supporters, clubs officials and families of players offering a healthy 12% discount off the normal General & Medical premiums on their chosen healthcare cover. For every healthcare cover that is taken out by club supports, club officials and family members a generous 6% of the premium goes to the participating club, generating a revenue stream for the benefit of the club which they may use to fund activities of their choosing. A popular use of the 6% "commission" is to spend it on youth related activities to encourage the next generation of players.

Cover sold at the specially discounted rates via the Opt-In Sports scheme is collected by monthly direct debit from the individual. As an incentive to promote Opt-In Sports for clubs that have chosen to include within their players Sports+ cover the Therapies Benefit, for every 25 supporters who purchase the General & Medical Cover via Opt-In Sports the therapies risk share percentage will change in favour of the club as follows:

To enhance the benefit to their players on the Sports+ Cover it is in the clubs interest to promote Opt-In Sports through their website. To facilitate this General & Medical will provide a branded link from the club website to our own and will also provide posters and approved text for promotions in any publications or programmes.
