Hospital Options

First Choice are a select group of private hospitals throughout the UK, with whom General & Medical have a close association. These include BMI, Spire, Ramsay and Classic facilities. If you choose first choice hospitals as part of your cover you will benefit from reduced fees.

Freedom Hospitals include all First Choice facilities and give access to an additional 400 facilities, both NHS and private. If you choose Freedom Hospitals with your cover and choose to be treated at a first choice facility you will be entitled to a cash benefit of £100.00 per night to your stay.

Premium Hospitals are specialist facilities that due to their location and reputation are able to charge substantially more for their medical services. Our Premium Hospitals can be added as an extra upgrade to our Freedom Hospitals giving a comprehensive selection, however this is subject to an increase in your monthly fee.

Excess

For all our medical insurance schemes the excess choices are £0, £100, £150, £200, £250, £500, or £1,000.

The amount of excess you have chosen is applied to each claim. The higher the excess, the lower the monthly costs, saving you up to 35%.
