Commission and Comparison Sites
Commission
Where our cover is purchased through a registered intermediary or broker we are normally expected to pay them a commission. We set our commissions at a reasonable level such that it does not impact on the quality of cover we offer our clients.
Comparison Sites
We freely submit details of our covers and services to a number of comparison sites, some of which are used mainly by the general public and some are specialist sites used by intermediaries or brokers. There has been an explosion in the number of sites over the last few years and not all comparison sites operate in the same way.
Comparison sites normally make money by taking a commission or fees from the Insurance company for any business introduced.
Where we appear on a comparison site we normally compare very favourably against all competition.
If you find a comparison site where we do not appear, this is because, either we have chosen not to register with them, or they chose not to include us due to their own commercial reasons, usually this means that the comparison sites’ required commission levels for clients introduced to us from the site are higher than we are prepared to pay.
