Make sure you are drinking enough water! It sounds obvious, but many people find it difficult to stay properly hydrated, particularly during cold weather, and you may even be misinterpreting thirst signals for hunger, which can lead to weight gain.

Make sure you have a glass of water to accompany every meal and sip little and often throughout the day to keep dehydration at bay. Requirements can vary from person to person and can also be dependent on activity levels and climate, but dehydration can lead to poor concentration, headaches, dry skin and eyes, constipation and many other problems. A good indication of adequate hydration is clear urine, so check before you flush!
