Keeping Active During Autumn

As the days begin to get shorter and cooler, it may start to get harder to stay motivated. But we can’t let that stop us from staying active this Autumn!
How to stay motivated on cold days
On cold days it’s likely that you might just want to relax, stay warm and watch a film. I myself am also guilty of this but why not do that after doing a little exercise. By doing this it will feel much more rewarding as well! But I'm sure you’re wondering, how do I even get motivated to want to do that in the first place? Well not to worry because I have some great tips to help!
Exercise with others - Exercising with others can be a great way to motivate yourself to be active. You will most likely find yourself having a good laugh and helping each other to keep going and staying motivated! If you’re not able to get everyone together somewhere, doing a little exercise through a zoom call is also another great way to work out together!
Set small and achievable goals - Setting yourself small goals will help you feel motivated to achieve the different goals you have set for yourself. Another great tip could be setting yourself a little reward after reaching some of your goals after some time. If you are someone who enjoys being creative why not create a little planner to allow yourself to cross off each goal you achieve!
Take a break - Whilst staying active it’s important to remember it’s okay to take a break! Although you may have a goal set for a day but you wake up feeling like your mental health isn’t great, then it’s perfectly fine to take a day off. It’s also important to not push yourself too far, if you need to stop, remember that’s perfectly normal!
Eating healthy
Whilst staying active it may also be a great idea to try new healthy meals! This could be a great opportunity to try new healthy foods that you have been putting off for some time. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables are great foods to eat whilst staying active. But maybe you don’t get a craving for vegetables or fruits very often, so why not try making a warming soup or a healthy smoothie!
You could either search online for some recipes or get creative and make your own. Soups and smoothies are also packed with fibre, meaning this can help lower your risks of chronic illnesses and improve your health overall as well as increasing your consumption of fruits and vegetables!
