Leaving your company healthcare scheme may make you feel like you have lost the support and convenience that a private health insurance policy provides you with. However, it’s easy for you to continue your healthcare cover with us on an individual or family plan.

If your company scheme was provided by General & Medical Healthcare, you’ll have the option to continue your healthcare cover with no change to the way we treat your medical history. If you would like to continue your policy with General & Medical then you will need to ensure that you:
- Apply for your policy within two months of the leaving date from your company scheme.
- Have not had a change in your state of health since leaving your company scheme.
- Pay any outstanding payments from the date that you left your company scheme to ensure that there is no break in your cover.
